The SRAM DUB crank spindle requires the bearing contact points to be in a set and designated width, and all CeramicSpeed bottom Bracket options perfectly match the bearing placement on the crank spindle with the required frame interface for nearly any model of bike. Without the use of unnecessary adapters or spacers, a quiet & stable platform is ensured throughout the life of the product. The ITA for SRAM DUB Road comes in two bearing options. The first option is our low drag, long life Standard Bearing with hardened-steel races and our super-round CeramicSpeed balls. The second option is our Coated Bearing, which uses those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. Shimano cranks fit into BB86 frames when you have this CeramicSpeed Bottom Bracket installed. The kit consists of two cups that are pressed into either side of the central opening. The cups come with CeramicSpeed Bearings installed. There are two versions. The first is our low drag, long life Standard Bearing with hardened-steel races and our super-round CeramicSpeed Balls. The second version is our coated bearing, which uses those same CeramicSpeed Balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. This CeramicSpeed BB86 Bottom Bracket works with cranks that have 24mm spindles, including both Shimano and FSA. CeramicSpeed standard Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That represents an average 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. The hardened-steel races feature the CeramicSpeed Balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. The CeramicSpeed Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings. Coated Bearings drop friction further and increase lifespan. The coated races see a 50% drag reduction and an improvement in bearing life of 60%. BSA is another way of stating English threading. The initialization comes from Birmingham Small Arms, which made bicycles. English threading on road bikes mean a 68mm-wide, 34mm-inside-diameter shell with reverse threading on the drive side. It's the most common threaded standard employed today. This kit allows you to fit 30mm cranks, like those from Rotor, to fit in the tight space of this 34mm spindle. Choose between two bearings types for the cups. Standard Bearings have low drag thanks to hardened-steel races and our CeramicSpeed Balls. Coated Bearings have those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. Note that the threaded extensions of this BB's cups that thread into the frame are thin, as they need to fit a 30mm spindle inside the cups. CeramicSpeed standard bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets.
