What is X-seam?

X-seam is the distance from your lower back to the soles of your feet when seated with legs extended. Recumbent trikes use this (not inseam) to set the boom length.

How to measure your X-seam (fast + accurate)

  1. Sit on the floor with your back flat against a wall.

  2. Put on the shoes you’d ride in.

  3. Extend your legs straight out in front of you.

  4. Place a book/box flat against the bottoms of your feet (like a “footplate”).

  5. Measure from the wall to the front edge of the book/box.

  6. That measurement (in inches) is your X-seam.

Rebel fit range (what to expect)
